First camping this year...

Jo and I love camping so we decided to go for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). Jo drove to Beavers Flat friday morning just to get a good spot,, of course it's almost full but the spot he found was great - shaded and close to the river.
We were also surprised when we saw our co-workers camping 1 tent apart from us.. The 3 ladies and a girl camping in between us wanted to join us..  In the end, our couple-camping became a group camping.

Hiking,,,,

It was a great day so we went for a little hike... we also watched a parachute guy landing where we tried resting!

Time to go home....

God is in control... proven!

God is always in control... This is true all the time....
Last sunday, while we were celebrating Father's Day with Jo's family, I got a phone call from my sister in the Philippines saying that my brother, Elmer who's on dialysis for over a year now, had a seizure and wasn't breathing at all. He was in a coma. We were trying to prepare ourselves for the worst because that could be it for him. The doctors were saying that if ever he survives, he could be vegetable. It was a tough decision for us - financialwise and the thought that maybe he wouldn't remember us anymore if ever he wakes up... Though it was unbearable to hear, we almost pulled the plug.. We almost told the doctors not to inject any more chemicals or just stop doing what they can but we know that in times of distress like this, God always makes a way. Miraculously, my brother regained consciousness after the doctors declared he was dead 3 times...
He is out of the ICU now and was transferred to a room where our family could visit and talk to him. I actually spoke with him on the phone yesterday and it was a weird feeling, you would feel like you are talking to a child... He was murmuring, stattering, and singing words that you would not understand. I asked him if he knows who I am, he said "You are Desiree (she's my sister)".. I said,' No, it's Cey from Canada!". He was shocked as I heard him shout, "Cey is in Canada? When did she go there?". It is a sad feeling knowing that his memory is quite destroyed but we are so thankful that he is still surviving. And we pray that his memory will come back..
Truly, God is in control.......
