Cey's excitement to be with her family here in CANADA...

Whenever people ask me if I miss my family in the Philippines, I answer "YES" immediately with a sad face. I would love to be with them specially with my 11 nieces and nephews but I can't always travel half way around the world just to see them. We can't even sponsor them to be here because Canadian Immigration's rules had changed with regards to sponsoring your family. My siblings have their own families now and if ever they want to come here in canada, they have to apply on their own. If they don't have an arranged employment here, they have to show 1,000,000 ($26,000 cdn) to the government just to prove that they are able to live with their family here in canada.
Anyway, to make the story short, my sister, Desiree, and her family started applying as independent family immigrants in June 2007. They got a confirmation letter in September 2007 saying that their application was received and it states that the processing/waiting time for their visas might take 2 to 4 LONG YEARS.. But we are happy that another opportunity came. She heard that an agency here in Alberta might be able to recruit her. So she was offered a Supervisory position at Burger King in GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB. After 4 months, the agent told us that her LMO has arrived which I think is a big thing in applying for a work permit. Though we have to pay a $3000 fee to the agent, it's worth it because my sister might be here in canada in 3 months! And we are also praying that the Canadian embassy in the Philippines would consider this opportunity for her so her family can go with her as well.

Wii or Poker Night?

As much as I remember, we invited friends over on Saturday at our house for "Poker Night" but it seemed like it was more of a "Wii Night"!... Everybody was ready for battle in Boxing, Tennis and Bowling!!! See them in action.....

That was the first time Jo made a Chocolate Fountain, and here he is while Jay was laughing at him... But nice try honey!
